I have done this walk many times from Coomerkane up over the ridge to Sugarloaf. The trail winds its way up and up and then levels out giving 360° views of Bantry Bay and the Caha Mountains. The undulating landscape holds secret lakes and this one is particularly compelling. The folds of the rocks draw your eye down to the calm stillness of the water.
