The arrangement of precious objects endows them with even more significance. Shells are limitlessly beautiful in form and colour and I wanted to combine this with cast shadows and reflected light. This painting asks certain questions which I think is very important for an image. Who or what arranged the shells? How are these exotic shells doing in an Irish seascape? What is the crow going to do with the shells? The title makes reference to Australian Aboriginal mythology.
