Proleek is situated in Co Louth Ireland. It is dated to around 3,000 BC. By having a giant capstone on top of the tapered portal stones, this tomb instantly creates a sense of tenuous balance and dynamic energy. To me, these ancient Megaliths quiver with life and hold the story of our origins. The rubbing of the pastel on the rough surface and then subsequent erasing of areas suggests, when I am drawing, the same type of hand movements used in carving stone and making rough-hewn tools.
